Matthew has practiced law for nearly 20 years in Louisiana.  He grew up in a suburb of Washington, DC before attending Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.  After graduating college Matthew moved to New Orleans where he became involved in local and state politics.  Having been part of the legislative process in Baton Rouge, Matthew was inspired to attend law school at night while he worked as a legislative assistant.  Matthew graduated from Loyola College of Law in New Orleans and has remained in Louisiana since that time.

Matthew has an intimate knowledge of Louisiana property regulations affecting our local businesses with his experience working for the Jefferson Parish Attorney’s Office handling both property and code enforcement. His 12 years of experience working as in-house counsel for a prominent insurance company gave him a unique understanding of the obstacles facing national insurers and the importance of resolving claims efficiently.  In addition to handling his full case load, Matthew also served as an Attorney Member on the Louisiana Disciplinary Board for seven years. He knows the most important aspect of any lawyer is always working in the best interest of a client with integrity and honesty. Whether expeditiously resolving a claim or taking it to trial, Matthew has a proven track record of success at handling cases from the opening of a file through trial.  He practices with the mindset that preparation, understanding and thoughtfulness of the issues will prevail.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
