Mark has represented a broad spectrum of clients, including major insurers, national corporations, and regional businesses. His work spans matters of varying size and complexity, from single-plaintiff actions to high-exposure, multi-party litigation.
Before joining the Firm, Mark served as national counsel for a global online retailer, where he managed a nationwide litigation portfolio. In that capacity, he participated in the development of the client’s national litigation strategy, worked closely with local counsel to ensure consistent and effective strategy implementation across numerous jurisdictions. As part of his litigation management role, he also provided ongoing guidance on risk mitigation, compliance, and litigation avoidance affecting the company’s operations nationwide.
Today, Mark’s practice is focused on the defense of transportation, premises liability, construction, and insurance bad faith claims. He has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts, and his experience encompasses all stages of litigation, from initial case assessment and discovery through dispositive motion practice and trial. His breadth of experience enables him to anticipate challenges and to position his clients for the most favorable outcomes possible.
Mark approaches each matter with a balance of practicality and precision. Recognizing that litigation costs can impose significant burdens on his clients’ businesses, he prioritizes early, efficient resolution strategies that align with both their legal and business objectives. When resolution is not possible, however, he is fully prepared to litigate cases all the way to verdict, bringing strategic foresight, disciplined preparation, and focused advocacy to the courtroom. His practice is grounded in clear communication, ensuring his clients remain informed and engaged throughout the litigation process. His practice is also guided by a consistent commitment to advancing his clients’ broader business interests beyond the case at hand.
Mark is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts. He is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He also regularly participates in continuing legal education programs and industry seminars, reflecting his commitment to professional development and staying at the forefront of evolving issues in civil litigation.
When not practicing law, Mark can be found spending time with his growing family, on the golf course, and attempting to learn tennis.
