Katie’s practice focuses on admiralty and maritime litigation, insurance defense, and general liability.
Katie is a native of Houma, Louisiana, with strong family ties to the marine transportation industry dating back to the 1940s. She represents clients in a broad range of disputes, including allisions and collisions and claims under General Maritime Law, the Jones Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, and the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act. In addition to her maritime practice, Katie handles a variety of civil litigation matters involving transportation, premises liability, and products liability.
She completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University before earning her Juris Doctor at LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While in law school, Katie was actively involved in various organizations. She served as the Executive Secretary of the Student Bar Association, a Senior Editor of the Journal of Energy Law and Resources, Volume X, and was a member of the Maritime and Admiralty Law Society.
Outside of the office, Katie enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Her summers prior to law school were spent as an angler on the Done Deal fishing team competing in billfish tournaments across the Gulf Coast.
