Travis L. Simmons was born and raised in Denham Springs, Louisiana.  He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Natural Resource Ecology and Management. He then continued his education at Louisiana State University, earning his Juris Doctor and Graduate Degree in Comparative Law from Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU in 2017.  While in law school, Travis participated in externships at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal for Honorable Judge Jewel E. Welch and at the Nineteenth Judicial District Court for Honorable Judge William A. Morvant. He also completed LSU’s Civil Mediation Clinic, mediating small claims cases at the Baton Rouge City Court and earning over 40 hours of general mediation training.
