James M. Taylor
Jim Taylor is renowned for his in-depth knowledge of south Louisiana. His extensive litigation experience in the workers' compensation courts has earned him a solid reputation with workers' compensation judges and mediators, and his guidebook New Orleans on the Half Shell: A Native's Guide to the Crescent City, now in its third printing, remains popular reading. He is a graduate of the Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans where he was a member of the Loyola Law Review. His practice concentrates primarily on the defense of workers' compensation, toxic tort and general liability claims. Jim is admitted to practice before all of the State and Federal Courts in the State of Louisiana and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. His organizational memberships include the American, Louisiana State and New Orleans Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. Jim is an Advisory Board member of the New Orleans Film and Video Society.
