Sammie Henry was born in Columbus, Mississippi in 1965.  He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from Jackson State University in 1987 and his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1990.  After law school, he served as a law clerk with the Mississippi Supreme Court.  He was admitted to the bar in the State Courts of Louisiana and the Federal Courts of the Eastern and Middle District.  His areas of practice consist of general casualty defense with an emphasis on workers' compensation, having over 10 years experience with Louisiana Workers' Compensation Corporation handling cases throughout the state, on both the trial and appellate level.  He is a certified workers' compensation professional.
