Scott Cowart was born in Opelika, Alabama in 1965. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Louisiana State University in 1988 and his Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where he served as a member of the Moot Court Board. He was admitted to practice before all Louisiana State and Federal courts, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Scott's areas of practice include administrative law, appellate advocacy, the defense of workers' compensation and personal injury claims, and insurance defense. He is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars and is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
