Shannon was born in Metairie, Louisiana and raised in the New Orleans metropolitan area. Following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Shannon was displaced to Fort Myers, Florida where she began her senior year of high school. After returning to her home state in 2006, she attended Louisiana State University, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts degree in History. Upon her graduation from LSU, Shannon opted to relocate to New York City and obtained her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law. While attending law school, she was also employed as a Legal Intern and Motions Paralegal for GEICO Staff Counsel in the Queens division.

Returning to Louisiana once more in 2013, Shannon initially pursued a position in the finance department of Festival Productions, Inc., better known as “Jazz Fest,” before sitting for the Louisiana State Bar Exam. Upon being admitted to practice in 2015, she began her legal career drafting wills and trusts for a local estate planning firm in Metairie, Louisiana. Shannon returned to GEICO in 2016; this time as an associate attorney for Staff Counsel in the New Orleans division. As a Staff Counsel associate, Shannon managed files in all aspects of the litigation process, defending both GEICO and GEICO insureds in both first and third-party cases. Joining TWPD in 2018, Shannon concentrates her practice on insurance defense and insurance coverage issues.
Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys taking full advantage of the crawfish, snoball, and festival seasons, walking her dog, and spending quality time with her husband and stepson.
